Week of August 31st
This week we finished Chapter 1 Section 1 and began Section 2. Our main focus was learning about microscopes. Students were able to get hands on experience using the microscopes. In the files section for this class I have added an excel file with an up to date Table of Contents they should have in their notebooks. I will collect notebooks for a grade on Sept 9th.
Friday's notebook check
Below is what I will check in students' notebook on Friday, 8/28. On these Friday checks I only look for completion and initial in their table of contents. At the end of the chapter, when I collect the notebooks, I give point values to go into the grade book.
Week of August 24th
Hello, we are finally starting our first unit this week! The title of the unit is "Cells and Heredity". Students had their first small notebook check either last Friday or this Monday. All power points used in class are available under the "August Power points" folder.
Week of August 17th
This week we start working in our Interactive Science Notebook. We will cover The Scientific Method and start on the Metric System towards the end of the week. Please refer to the power point for the interactive notebook if you need help organizing your notebook. I will check notebook cover pages and author pages on Friday.
